Two days after the widely publicized miscommunication, Dan Campbell, the Lions coach, has indicated his readiness to turn the page.
Addressing the issue on Monday, Campbell emphasized his preparedness to move past the controversial and perplexing outcome of Detroit’s Week 17 defeat to Dallas.
“I’m in a good place. I woke up yesterday – I’m geared up. I’ve got controlled fury, and I’m all set,” Campbell stated. “I’m absolutely geared up.
“We don’t dwell on things, and the team won’t either. We’re focused on our mission, and we’re not going to indulge in self-pity or get stuck in it all. There were opportunities for us to capitalize on, and we didn’t. It was a tight game against a formidable opponent, a playoff-like atmosphere, and we needed to make that extra play, which we didn’t. Consequently, we’ll use this as motivation. I’m filled with determination right now. I woke up ready. So, we’re looking ahead.”
Campbell’s remarks highlight a strong resolve to channel the team’s energy forward, focusing on their objectives rather than lingering on the past events.
